Code Of Conduct

FAIR PLAY POLICY / PLAYER’S CODE

The objectives are as follows:

  1. Players shall play for enjoyment both in training and in competition
  2. Players shall endeavour to improve their game by setting a high standard in terms of attitude, skill, fitness, behaviour and dress.
  3. No member shall leave a coaching session before the end of the session without the permission of the coach.
  4. All members shall endeavour to be punctual for club related activities.
  5. Players shall remember that in competition the game is a team game.
  6. Players shall accept the decisions of match officials.
  7. Players shall show good sportsmanship before, during and after the game.
  8. Players shall control their temper at all times.
  9. Players shall not bully or ridicule any other player.
  10. Players shall show appreciation of their coaches, team managers and supporters.
  11. Players should remember that they are wearing the colours of and are representing their club.

 

  1. At every match, training session, tournament or event attended by a team, all players will be under the jurisdiction of the team manager or other appointed representative for the duration of the event, and shall be expected to represent Dollingstown Football Club appropriately.

A1. A ban from attending all football related events for up to two weeks may               
be enforced for any breach of discipline, at the discretion of the
management team.

A2. Bans in excess of two weeks must be sanctioned by the committee of   
Dollingstown Football Club.

A3. All teams are required to respect both football premises and equipment at
all venues.  Any team or member of a team observed deliberately
damaging premises/playing equipment will be subject to a fine and
possible exclusion.

  1. Any player, manager or club member who is sent of or cautioned during or after a match for violent conduct or use of foul and abusive language will be subject to an automatic fine and administrative charge from the Irish Football Association/Mid-Ulster Football League, subject to appeal.

 

  1. Any member may report perceived breaches of discipline to any committee member, as soon after the perceived offence as possible.  That committee member shall be obliged to address the issue(s) to the Football Club Committee at the earliest opportunity.

 

C1. Any member cautioned for breach of discipline has the power of appeal as
long as the appeal is received in writing by the Club Secretary within 14
days of the formal notification of the instigation of disciplinary
procedures.

C2. Where an appeal has been made, it will be heard by a core of at least 4
Members of Dollingstown Football Club of whose decision will be final.

D.  Dollingstown Football Committee, shall reserve the right to refuse membership   
to any person they consider undesirable and to suspend or expel from the
Football Club any member who acts in a way liable to bring discredit to the
club.
