Dollingstown football club was formed in 1979 local lads in Dollingstown having a kick about applyed to the Mid Ulster league and were accepted into the 5th division. The first Chairman was Bruce Kidd. The first sponsored was the EPH CAR SALES Dollingstown who supplied a short sleeved yellow football kit. (very cold in the winter). The first few matches were played in the Rail Way Tavern in Moira and then a pitch at Monbrief eventually moving to the Gordon Playing Fields. Playing in the 5th division for a few seasons and then progressing onto the 4th and then the 3rd. The first trophey came in 1992/1993 season Dollingstown won the Magee Cup under the management of Colin McCullough. Playing in division 3 the commitee asked Hubert Watson to manage the team in 1998/1999 and in his second year in charge 1999/2000 won Division 3 title. Under Huberts guidence Dollingstown made it to the 1st division after a couple of seasons in disvision 2.Dollingstown entered a second team into the Mid Ulster League 1999/2000 with a few of the older players at the helm. Playing in the reserve divisions and winning the Mid Ulster trophy in 2006/07 under the managment of Brian Gregson and Jackie McCnickle.
Dollingstown then decided to try for Intermediate football in 2003/04 and where accepted into Mid Ulster Intermediate B.The team were now playing there home matches at their new pitch on the Dromore Road Named Planters Park. Lurgan after a few seasons in intermediate B under the management of Gary Duke promotion was gained to intermediate A. The team of 2007/08 were cup finalists in the Premier Cup and the Marshall Cup but unfortuanly where beatin in both. In 2008/09 Dollingstown won the Intermediate A league title and the Marshall Cup under the managment of Gary Duke and Mark Savage. Dollingstowns seconds also won the reserve division 2 title in the same year the best season in Dollingstowns short history to date hopfully many more successful seasons to come.
