DFC made 10 changes to the team that started last Saturday against limavady to give much needed game time to all the players in the squad against the complete first team of Warrenpoint Town.
It was the home team who went in front as early as 5 minutes with what proved to be the only goal of the game and what a goal it was King gave away a free kick on the left and it found the winger who drilled his shot right into the top corner of the net.
DFC gradually came back into the game as Warrenpoint were dominating possession at this stage and the score remained the same at the interval.
The second half once again DFC competed very well and McMath, Conlon and kernaghan made way for Liggett , Johnston and Gourley replacing them in the final 20 minutes as they went in search of the equaliser.
The flood lights went out again like last year but were back on inside 5 minutes as the game petered out.
Like to wish Warrenpoint Town all the best in the next round.
