Recent 2 Time Winners Strathroy Harps To Visit Planters Park in Junior Cup

Could we really of had a tougher draw???

DFC RES will take on Strathroy Harps in Round 1 of The Coca Cola Junior Cup at Planters Park on Saturday 13th September 2014.

Strathroy Harps have a fantastic history in the Junior Cup having won it twice in a row:

Season 2011/12 – Strathroy Harps 4-1 St. Mary’s Portadown
Season 2012/13 – Harryville Homers 0-3 Strathroy Harps.

Last year they exited in Round 5 – Strathroy Harps 0-1 St Pauls

Massive ask for our lads but we will be up for this and we encourage the locals to come and support to try and make our home advantage count.

Linfield Under 19’s to visit Planters Park

On Thursday 21st August 2014 the Linfield Under 19 development squad will travel to Planters Park to take on DFC RES.

It will be the 2nd game for the reserves in 2 days as they travel to Mahon Road in Portadown the previous night to play Ambassadors Reserves in another pre-season friendly as they gear up for the start of the competitive season.

Both games will KO around 6.30pm or so and we encourage all connected to the club to come down on Thursday night to see the Linfield game.

DFC kick off life in The NIFL Belfast Telegraph Championship 2 with a home match against Ballymena area team Wakehurst.
What is sure to be a great occasion at Planters Park, after all the hard work by numerous people at the club to get DFC to this standard.
Lets hope the sun shines and the players and coaches can do the club proud on this day with a great support down from the local community to start of this new era.
