On a very wet and windy day both teams served up an entertaining 2-2 draw on a heavy pitch.
DFC thought they had scored in the opening few minutes from a corner but the referee disallowed the goal for some apparent infringement on the keeper who simply seemed to have lost the flight of the ball in the wind.
Then on 10 minutes Davy Richmond hit a superb volley that landed on the top of the nets before the lively Beggs on the right wing was pulled back by Nathan McConnell but Moyola failed to capitalise from the resulting free kick.
DFC then had a second goal disallowed when the keeper spilled a shot from Colin Cunningham that was tapped in by Gary Liggett but pulled up for off side and Liggett then shot wide from narrow angle on the right before Moyola broke away right on the half time whistle to fire the visitors ahead against the run of play.
Indeed Moyola should have doubled the lead on 55 minutes but the impressive McIlhatton headed wide from a corner but 5 minutes later he walzed through the home defence to calmly put his side 2-0 ahead.
DFC then got a lifeline from the penalty spot after a handball and skipper aaron Moffett calmly dispatched it to set up an exciting finish.
Cunningham, Andy McMath and Adam Patterson all made way for Davy Gray, Ryan Gourley and elliott Rea and it was from a Gray corner that Rea bundled the ball over the line to get the home team a deserved equaliser and indeed Liggett just failed to get in the end of a Richmond cross which would have given the home side maximum points.
DFC would like to thank Matec Plant for sponsoring the match today.
