In a crucial game for the home side in there battle to avoid relegation DFC came out the wrong side of a seven goal game which to be fair to both sides was very difficult with the windy conditions.
On ten minutes Johnston has a good chance but the away keeper stood his ground to make the save and on 25 minutes Banbridge went in front when a delicate chip from the right was headed home unchallenged.
Rea almost restored parity but his shot went over the bar and young Patterson almost found the net from out on the left but the keeper pulled off a great save but from the corner Patterson finally equalised before half time.
On 50 minutes DFC were caught out by the wind as a cross was deflected in at the back post but again the home side almost equalised but both strikers were denied by the keeper.
Rea was then replaced by Gourley and minutes later Hand set up Moffett who headed over with Liggett in a better position behind him but moments later Liggett was adjudged very harshly to have pushed in the box and Banbridge scored from the penalty.
Worst was to follow as direct from a corner the ball caught in the wind and crossed the line to make it 4-1.
Richmond and McMath then replaced Jones and Patterson and Liggett headed a goal back with 10 minutes to go and same player set up Gourley to tap in number 3 as they went in search of the equaliser that simply just failed to come.
Next week is final home game of the season against Portstewart in what now becomes the biggest game of the season.
