McCordick and Duke Braces See Dollybirds Triumph In Planters Park Goal Fest

Old rivalry was restored on Saturday as DFC welcomed Tandragee Rovers to Planters Park and within 5 minutes DFC were in front when Aaron Duke tapped in after a good run down the right by Josh Norton.

Then on the half hour it was 2-0 when Scott McCordick took possession in midfield, strode forward nauseatingly and fired into the top corner but credit to Tandragee they pulled a cracker out of the hat themselves right on half time when Bicker fired in from distance.

Then in the second half it was all Tandragee as DFC lost the ball in midfield and the resulting cross was headed in for the equaliser.

On the hour mark Stephen Croft made a hash of a clearance but his skipper got him out of jail but only for 5 minutes before Croft punched away a corner and the striker tapped in the rebound.

Manager Uprichard then replaced Scott Adams with Stephen Jones and soon afterwards Marc Davidson was fouled in the area and Duke converted to bring the sides level in a very pulsating game.

McCordick then scored his sides 4th goal and this even bettered his opening effort when he left 3 defenders on the floor to stroke home the winner.

With 10 minutes left Croft pulled off a great save and from the corner it was cleared off the line as Tandragee went in search of the equaliser.

Norton was then replaced by Davy Gray in the final few minutes as DFC held out for 3 very important points.

Great advert for local football by two teams who gave there all for there respective clubs.
